Our Story
September 2020
Charlie and Jade met on the dating app, Hinge. Their first date was at Jade's favorite Italian restaurant, Maccheroni Republic.
Charlie's First Impression: "She's beautiful, incredibly positive and fun, very smart, artistic, very world traveled and an old soul, wise beyond her years. Her smile is infectious."
Jade's First Impression: "Wow, he looks better than his photos!"
August 2023
Charlie and Jade's first trip to Hawai'i together! Jade tries to convince Charlie to move to Kona. Charlie declines (for now).
April 2024
Charlie and Jade move in together at Hermosa Beach.
Charlie once thought he was a master chef—until Jade moved in and redefined the meaning of ‘home-cooked meal.’ Now, his kitchen duties are retired, but his trash-taking and laundry-folding skills have leveled up significantly!
July 2024
Charlie and Jade embarked on an epic summer adventure through Spain, France, Sardinia, and Greece. On their last day in Nice, France, Charlie popped the question at the top of Colline du Château—a stunning 11th-century castle with breathtaking views of the city and ocean.
Jade was completely shocked (and shaking with excitement), but Charlie was cool as a cucumber. With a ring that perfect, how could she say anything but YES?

Charlie and Jade visit Hawai'i to tour wedding venues!
They carefully chose a place where they hope to celebrate their love surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Hawai'i holds a special place in their hearts. The island’s energy, sense of connectedness, and spirit of aloha perfectly reflect the love and joy they hope to share on their special day.
